Carlos Y Alejandra La Nueva Sensacion.....

Carlos y Alejandra may be on an impossible mission: to take bachata to "every corner of the world." They're off to a good start.
The Boston-based Carlos Vargas Franco, Jr. (24) and Bianca Alejandra Felíz (22) have already visited the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and México, spreading the word and music of bachata with hits like Explicame and Perdóname. Not bad, considering the Dominican-American Carlos and the Dominican-Puerto Rican Alejandra have only been performing together for three years.
Before they were paired together by their record label Romance Records in 2006, Carlos was just another kid from the Bronx who fell in love with music after getting a guiro for his 10th birthday. Alejandra, a former beauty queen and TV host, has been singing since her quinceañera.
The release of their debut, La Introduccíon, has brought out the inevitable comparisons to the more urban Aventura as well as the more traditional Monchy y Alexandra. They've also been the subject of much gossip. Carlos was rumored as the top choice to take over for Aventura frontman Anthony "Romeo" Santos. "It's an honor but we want to make it clear that we have our own style," says Franco.
